The Samoyed is a sturdy, medium-to-large Arctic working dog recognized for its signature fluffy white double coat and perpetual “Sammy smile”. 
Physical Characteristics
  • Size: Males stand 21–24 inches tall and weigh 45–65 pounds; females stand 19–21 inches tall and weigh 35–50 pounds. 
  • Coat: A thick weather-resistant double coat consisting of a short, soft undercoat and harsh, straight outer guard hairs. Colors include pure white, cream, or biscuit.
