Puppies for Sale in Bradenton, Florida

Puppies for Sale Near Bradenton: Over the Skyway to Our Largo Store

Bradenton families make the trip to our store fairly often, and it’s an easy drive. We’re at 8240 Ulmerton Road in Largo, about 36 miles from downtown Bradenton. With light traffic that’s about 50 minutes, plus any bridge or rush-hour delays.

Getting here from Bradenton

Take US 41 or US 301 north to I-275, then go north over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The Skyway has a toll. Stay on I-275 into St. Petersburg, then take US 19 north to Ulmerton Road and head west. If you’re coming from Lakewood Ranch or east Manatee, I-75 north to I-275 may be quicker. Check your map app before you leave.

Before you drive up

Since it’s close to an hour each way, we suggest:

• browsing our available puppies online first
• calling 727-216-6110 to check that the puppy you like is still here and ready to meet visitors
• applying online for monthly payments ahead of time, if you plan to use them

That way your visit is about meeting puppies, not paperwork.

The ride home over the bridge

For a lot of puppies, this is their first long car ride. A few simple things help:

• Bring a small crate or carrier lined with a towel.
• Bring a second person, so someone can stay close to the puppy.
• Bring a little water.
• Skip stops at busy rest areas or pet stores on the way home. Until your vet says the vaccines are complete, it’s best to keep your puppy away from places lots of other dogs visit.

Your vet near home

We ask every new family to take their puppy for a vet visit within 4 business days of going home. Our 14-day general health guarantee explains how this works with our consulting network vet, and what to do if you’d rather use your own vet in Manatee County. Every puppy also comes with our 1-year hereditary and congenital guarantee and our 10-year Peace of Mind Guarantee.

Bradenton dog parks for later

Manatee County’s Laurie Crawford Dog Park (formerly Happy Tails Canine Park) is inside G.T. Bray Park at 2802 51st St. W. It has separate fenced areas for large and small dogs and is open sunrise to sunset, with posted maintenance closures. Wait until your vet says your puppy’s vaccines are complete.
