Puppies for Sale in Sarasota, Florida

Puppies for Sale Near Sarasota: Is Our Largo Store Worth the Drive?

We’ll be honest: from Sarasota, we’re a bit of a trip. Our store is at 8240 Ulmerton Road in Largo, about 48 miles from downtown Sarasota. That’s roughly 70 minutes with light traffic, and more if the Skyway or I-275 is busy.

So why do Sarasota families come to us? Many want to meet a puppy in person before they commit, rather than choosing from a photo and having a puppy shipped. That’s the visit we’re set up for.

Getting here from Sarasota

Take US 41 or US 301 north through Bradenton to I-275, or use I-75 north to I-275. Then go north over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, which has a toll. Continue into St. Petersburg, take US 19 north to Ulmerton Road, and head west.

Make the drive count

• Call before you leave at 727-216-6110. Puppies find homes, and new arrivals sometimes need a few days before they can meet visitors. A quick call means you won’t make the drive for nothing.
• Tell us what you’re looking for. Give us size, coat, energy level and whether you have kids or other pets. We’ll let you know which puppies might fit, so you can meet them first.
• Handle financing ahead. If you want monthly payments, apply online with our lender partners before you come. All credit grades are considered.
• Plan the ride home. Bring a crate or carrier, a towel, water and a second person.

After you get home

We ask every new family to see a vet within 4 business days. Our Guarantees page explains how the 14-day general health guarantee works if you’d like to use a vet closer to Sarasota. Your puppy also has our 1-year hereditary and congenital guarantee and our 10-year Peace of Mind Guarantee. We’re always a phone call away if you have questions in those first weeks.

Sarasota dog parks for later

When your vet says your puppy is ready, Sarasota County runs off-leash parks including:

• 17th Street Paw Park in Sarasota
• Lakeview Park (7255 Hand Rd.)

Both have separate areas for large and small dogs.
