The American Cocker Spaniel is a lovable and friendly family dog. Great with kids and other pets, Cocker Spaniels thrive in a family setting. Cheerful, inquisitive, and alert, this breed is known to be just as happy inside on the couch as it is romping around in the yard with the kids. Cockers generally range around 25 pounds in size as adults and are typically seen in the colors of black, buff, tan, black and tan, as well as several variations of roan. Be prepared to spend some extra time on the upkeep of this breeds skin and coat, ears, and eyes. The Cocker Spaniel enjoys a challenge and prefers not to be bored so testing agility and obedience is a great way to keep your new pup active and engaged.
