Lovable and wrinkly, the Basset Hound is an easy-going pup that makes for a great family pet. Characterized by its floppy ears and droopy look, this docile breed is known for its gentle demeanor. This ancestor of the Bloodhound is known to be tolerant of children and other pets. Lead by its nose, the Basset Hound loves to track and follow smells in the wind. They are usually Tri color, or tan and white with the occasional lemon and white look. Bassets average 45-70 pounds and generally provide around 10-12 years of love and affection.
