Largo is home for Puppies St. Pete. Our store is at 8240 Ulmerton Rd, Largo FL 33771. From downtown Largo and Largo Central Park it’s only about 3 miles, usually under 10 minutes.

What a visit looks like

Walk in, say hi, and tell us a little about your home. Do you have kids, other pets, a yard or an apartment? How much time do you have for walks and grooming? We’ll introduce you to puppies that fit, and you can spend time with them before you decide anything. Seeing a puppy in person tells you things a photo can’t: how they play, how calm or busy they are, and how they act in your arms. There’s no pressure to leave with a puppy the same day.

Some puppies have just arrived and are still settling in before they can meet visitors. If you’re coming for one puppy you saw online, give us a call at 727-216-6110 first so we can make sure they’re ready.

What every puppy goes home with

As described on our site, each puppy comes with:

• a veterinarian’s Nose to Toes 12 Point Inspection
• an up-to-date health certificate
• up-to-date vaccines and worming
• a microchip you can register with a national service
• a bag of super-premium puppy food

Our guarantees include a 14-day general health guarantee, a 1-year congenital and hereditary guarantee, and the 10-year Peace of Mind Guarantee. Our Guarantees page explains how each one works. We ask new families to take their puppy for a vet visit within 4 business days of going home.

Paying for your puppy

You can pay the traditional way, or apply for low monthly payments through our lender partners. Our Monthly Payments page says all credit grades are considered. You can apply online before you come in, and we’ll go over your pre-approval with you at the store.

Neighbors welcome

Being on Ulmerton puts us close to most of mid-Pinellas. Seminole, Belleair Bluffs, Indian Rocks Beach, Pinellas Park and Clearwater are all close by, and Ulmerton runs straight east to I-275 if you’re coming from Tampa.

Your first week at home

• Pick a quiet spot for your puppy’s crate or bed before you bring them home.
• Keep the same food we’ve been feeding for the first few days. We send a bag home with you.
• Book the vet visit right away, within 4 business days.
• Call us anytime with questions. We’d rather hear from you early than late.

Where to take your new dog in Largo

Once your puppy has had all their shots and your vet says it’s OK, Largo has some good spots for dogs:

• Dog Bone Run, 375 Seminole Blvd: the City of Largo’s fenced off-leash park, with shade, seating and a fire-hydrant water fountain.
• Northeast Park and Paw Place, 4630 East Bay Drive: a city dog park with walking trails nearby.
• Walsingham Park, 12615 102nd Ave N: a Pinellas County park with a dog park and a 100-acre lake.

Largo calls itself a “Better Cities For Pets” community. In city parks, dogs need to be on a leash except inside the fenced dog parks.
